What We Believe

Church of the Covenant is a Christian faith community bound together by the radical and transformative love of God.  As a federated congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the United Church of Christ, we value our history and those who have gone before us.  

In the 21st century, we continually pray for God’s counsel. 

We struggle to live out the realm of God as revealed to us in the life of Jesus; the movement of the Holy Spirit; and the witness of Scripture, tradition, and community and personal experience.  

We strive to live in covenant with one another, sharing leadership and supporting everyone’s unique spiritual journey as we explore our deepest longings, joys, and concerns.  

We celebrate and are profoundly enriched by the diversity of individuals and families.  

We respect and encourage personal integrity, honesty, and openness.  

We believe that God calls us to actively live out our faith in our communities and the world following the example of Jesus.
