Tiffany window restoration
Sadly, in the middle of the night of November 10th, 2011, someone climbed the exterior construction scaffolding of the Church of the Covenant and used a fire extinguisher to break the lower portion of a Tiffany stained glass window depicting the disciple Dorcas. The person then dropped into the Sanctuary and used another fire extinguisher to break into Gallery NAGA and stole their computers.
The Dorcas window is one of 42 Tiffany stained glass windows that are an integral part of the largest Tiffany-designed church interior in the country. It is one of 20 multilayered figure windows that epitomize the beauty and artistry of Tiffany glass art.

greening the sanctuary
Driven by our commitments to be good eco-stewards of God's creation and our building, in the spring of 2014 we began an ambitious project to replace our aging sanctuary floor with greener initiatives. The result has been a new sustainable cork flooring with a radiant floor heating system complete with new high efficiency gas boilers. Our project was completed in late summer 2014 and we are grateful to all those who have supported it so generously. We continue to ask for ongoing support of this and other greening projects around our National Historic Landmark sanctuary. Click above "Give Now" button to help us in this work.
