Lent is a season of spiritual vitality and renewal. It is a time to move past some of life’s daily distractions and difficulties to draw near to the sacred. It is a gift of 40 days to seek the Holy Spirit’s presence with more intentionality and creativity as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Through the journey of these days―through silence, reflection, contemplation, listening, questioning, singing―through giving up or taking on―it is our prayer that your mind, body, and spirit would find restoration, revitalization, and renewal in the foundational love of God.

Lent is for the Birds! Join us this season as we try something new and different. As we journey through the wilderness with Jesus to grow closer to God in community, we will pause―to notice, listen to, and learn from the birds. Winged aviators are filled with wisdom and frequently make appearances in our Scriptures. Join us weekly as we engage our texts and lives to see how the Spirit might be inviting us to become a bit more bird-powerful as we focus on: Flight, Sight, Nest, Migrate, Call, and Flock. Join us in-person or online via Zoom Sunday mornings, on Ash Wednesday, and for Holy Week. Our Spring Equinox Evensong will be in-person only. We will begin Holy Week with our Palm to Passion Sunday service, including a multigenerational procession with palms and the Service of Holy Communion.

Maundy Thursday, March 28
5:30 pm, Bird Prayer Walk and Interfaith Agape Dinner, TBA

On this day where we remember Jesus gathering with friends outside on the mount of olives and around a table, we will go outside to listen to the birds, then gather for a simple agape meal.

Good Friday, March 29
7:00 pm, Sanctuary at Covenant & Online

Tenebrae Service
Musical and spoken meditations on the seven last words of Jesus combined with reflections on our current world.

Holy Saturday, March 30
All-Ages Multi-Church Easter Vigil
7:00 pm, Sanctuary at Covenant & Online
We gather in sacred dimness and quiet, between the cross of Good Friday and the hope of Easter. As sun sets and new light bursts forth, we celebrate with stories, songs, and Communion.

Easter Sunday, March 31
10:30 am, Sanctuary at Covenant & Online

Celebrate this most joyful day with choir, organ, special time with children, and the Redline Brass Quintet. Immediately after worship, there will be an Easter Egg hunt for our beloved young ones.
